PTI case labels,
without the headache.

Fill in the sidebar fields — at minimum you need a Commodity, GTIN (14 digits), and UPC (12 digits). Click ⚡ Generate Label and the preview will render. The label is a live 4×2 inch preview — every element can be dragged, resized, and edited directly.

A GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) is a 14-digit identifier for your product, and a UPC is a 12-digit barcode number. Both are purchased through GS1 US at gs1us.org. The tool validates check digits in real time — a green ✓ means valid, a red ✗ means the last digit doesn't match.

After filling in your fields, click 💾 Save in the Grower Profile section. The profile stores all fields, label positions, and your retailer preset. Use 📋 Save As to create a copy under a different name — useful when the same grower ships to multiple retailers. Load any saved profile from the dropdown.

Drag any text line to reposition it. The GS1 barcode, UPC barcode, Pack/Voice box, PLU, and Best-By elements have resize handles — grab any corner to resize. Alignment guides appear when elements line up. Use Ctrl+Z to undo any move.

Double-click any text line to enter edit mode. The cursor will appear exactly where you clicked. Press Enter to save or Escape to cancel. If no profile is selected, you'll see a warning that the edit won't persist after regenerating.

Click any element on the label to select it. The font toolbar appears to the left with controls for bold, italic, font size (slider), and text alignment. Changes apply immediately and are saved with the profile's label positions.

Hover over any element and click the red ✕ in the top-left corner. For English lines, this clears the text and the corresponding sidebar field. For French lines, it hides the element. You can bring hidden French lines back by regenerating with bilingual mode on.

Presets automatically configure your label for a specific retailer's requirements. For example, selecting Walmart turns on bilingual mode, highlights PLU as required, and ensures UPC barcode validation. Kroger shows a Best-By date field. ALDI turns bilingual off. Presets are saved with your grower profile.

In the Grower Profile section, flip the 🏪 Retailer Preset toggle on. The preset dropdown, description, and custom retailer tools will appear. Select your retailer and the label settings adjust automatically. You can still manually override any setting after applying a preset.

With the retailer panel open, click ＋ Add Custom Retailer. Enter the retailer's name, any notes about their requirements, and toggle the options: bilingual, PLU required, and best-by date. Click Save Retailer. Your custom retailer appears in the dropdown and persists across sessions. To delete it, select it and click the red delete button.

The tool validates your GTIN and UPC in real time using the GS1 mod-10 check digit algorithm. A green ✓ means the code is the correct length, all digits, and the check digit is valid. A red ✗ means something is wrong — usually the last digit doesn't match what the algorithm expects. This prevents printing labels with bad barcodes that will scan-fail at the DC.

After generating a label, a small badge appears on the top-right corner of the Voice Pick box on the label preview. It has three states:

Green ✓ — CRC-16 verified. The displayed voice pick code has been recomputed from the current GTIN + Lot + Pack Date and matches.

Red ! — Incomplete data. The GTIN isn't 14 digits or the lot number is empty.

Red ✗ — Mismatch. The displayed code doesn't match a fresh recomputation.

This badge only appears on screen — it's hidden during print.

The Voice Pick Code is a 4-digit number that allows warehouse workers to verbally confirm which case they're picking. It's computed using the CRC-16/ANSI algorithm from GTIN + Lot + Pack Date (YYMMDD). The code changes whenever any of the three inputs change. This matches the PTI standard developed by YottaMark and is compatible with voice picking systems used by Walmart, Kroger, and other major retailers.

Your GS1 Company Prefix is a 6–10 digit number assigned by GS1 US at gs1us.org. Enter it once in the Barcodes section and it persists globally. It saves with each profile and is used by the SSCC Pallet Label generator to compute valid SSCC-18 numbers.

GS1-128 (Code 128) for the case barcode and SSCC pallet barcodes, and UPC-A for the product barcode.

Click 📦 SSCC Pallet Label in the sidebar. The modal auto-fills from the current case label. Enter the case count, Ship To, and reference numbers. Click ⚡ Generate Pallet Label. The serial number auto-increments so each pallet gets a unique SSCC.

An 18-digit number that uniquely identifies a pallet — built from an extension digit (0), your GS1 company prefix, a serial reference, and a check digit. Encoded with Application Identifier (00).

Most retailers require SSCC labels on two adjacent sides of the pallet, on the lower third, so at least one is always visible.

Any thermal printer that accepts browser print jobs: Zebra, DYMO, Rollo, etc. Use 4"×2" labels for cases and 4"×6" for pallets. Set print dialog to Actual Size with zero margins.

Set Scale to "Actual Size" or "100%", Margins to "None", and uncheck "Headers and Footers" in Chrome.

Click ⬇ Import Profiles and select a CSV, Excel, or JSON file. Use 📦 GS1 Library Import for interactive field mapping with preview.

Profiles auto-backup on every save. Click 🛟 Restore in the header to restore from the last backup. Use ⬆ Export Profiles to download a JSON file you can import on any machine.
